There are two methods to canning green beans - hot pack and raw pack. Hot packing is nearly all the same steps as raw pack except you will blanch the green beans for 1-2 minutes in boiling water first before filling into jars. Raw pack or cold pack method is just filling the jars with uncooked green beans and pressure canning.
