2009年4月24日 · One solution would be to run 4 parallel 3/4 inch, 250 foot pex lines in the heat storage tank. Space in the tank is not a problem. That is around 200 square feet of pipe surface area. I may just build it and add on a few more lines if necessary. Pex is so easy to work with it might be easier than building a more complicated copper heat exchanger.

From the Uponor Design Guide 1/2 pex flowing 100% water at 120F supply, multiply 300 feet (loop length) X .0137 = 4.1 feet of head. So you need a pump to move 6 gpm at 4-5 feet of head.

2014年1月18日 · Plumbing and heating wholesalers generally stock up to 1" pex, both straight and coils. You do want to use barrier pex. If in fact you need to move 100,000 (10 gpm) and 180,000 BTU 18 gpm 1" would be the best choice. !-1/4 would be better yet for the 180,00 HX.

2011年6月5日 · Some of the common trade name or brands are Wirsbo/Uponor Mr.PEX. My supplier sells Uponor, I find the 3/4" to be easier to work with than 1/2" or the Lowes/HD stuff (usually PEX-C). The rolls have much less memory than the PEX-c. The O2 barrio stuff is the same material, but with the oxygen barrio applied to the outside of the pipe.
