Using Trivet vs Submerging Food When Pressure Cooking
2023年10月11日 · Hi, pretty new to Instant Pot. Got the 7-in-1 Duo Pro (I think that's the model, have to check later) and it came with a trivet. I watched some videos on how to use it, mainly beef stew, and some put the beef on top of the trivet while others just have the beef submerged in the liquid. Is there a difference to this approach?

2020年8月18日 · If you want to eat steamed or baked type chicken, then you would need the steamer basket or trivet. But if you put any cooking liquid, your chicken will come out delicious and soft. If you still want to cook something on the trivet, place some round stones at the bottom of the IP and place your mould over it.

2023年3月15日 · Place trivet into the instant pot. Add water--does it go into the inner chamber of the instant pot to where it touches the metal thing in the middle? I assume that metal thing in the middle of the instant pot is the heating element. Place my own metal pot on top of the trivet. Do I add water into this pot for pressure cooker purposes? No clue.

2020年12月14日 · Almost all of the recipes I found online uses trivet for cooking ribs but she said that it is not a make or break thing. I have never used an Instant Pot and I sure don't want to break someone elses pot by not using it correctly nor waste me ingredients and my time. I also have zero cooking utensils at home that would substitute the trivet.

2022年8月15日 · There is a risk of the chicken fusing to bottom of the pot as a result of the metal pot & induction heating element, possibly causing a Burn notice on the IP display & also resulting in having to scrape the chicken off & scrape the fused-on parts off the bottom of the IP Sometimes the water will do a good enough job for it not to be an issue.

2021年3月7日 · Do it the easy way. After you clean your pot, put 2 cups of water in. Put the trivet in. Bring it up to boil. Without the lid. Boiling water will remove the stuck on bits from the trivet. Or, you could, you know, use a green scrubber pad like everyone else. Or if you don't mind scratched metal, a gray scrubber pad.

2017年3月1日 · This is the steamer-basket and trivet thingie I use if a wire rack would let things drop through or I want to elevate a container in the IP for cooking something and have it easy to lift out. Silicone is heat-safe to a high temp, and this shape is easy to clean even by hand.

These jars also had foil over them when sterilizing. When ready to inoculate, isopropyl sanitized a still airbox, working equipment, and the tops of the jars.
