Feedback on Hills Perscription z/d dry dog food - Anyone?
2015年2月22日 · We have one vet school here in New Zealand and yes same thing applies here with dog food companies supporting the vet school. In fact a couple of years ago there were some 4th year vet students observing my dog having his eyes examined and their shirts had 'Hills' embroidered onto them. I am not so staunch when it comes to dog food now.

2012年1月1日 · Hydrolized proteins have been broken down into smaller pieces so they're not "recognized" as animal proteins by the body. Hills z/d is mainly used remedy for dogs with food allergies. Basically you're paying out the nose for crap food, considering the 5th ingredient is basically saw dust (powdered cellulose).

Within 1 week Shadow refused to eat or drink,got lethargic and was taken to the vet.Blood test revealed she had severe pancreatitis, which is caused by extremely high levels of fat,she was operated on that day.I received a call during her surgery informing me that it didnt look good.

2010年4月28日 · Unfortunately it offers little nutrition to your dog. If my dog suffered from this and I wasn't already a raw feeder, I'd probably opt for very gently cooked fresh, lean meat (skinless if poultry) combined with some sort of good quality, low fat, bland kibble with plenty of bone meal. Your dog needs lean protein and bone.

2021年6月12日 · We have used Hills ZD for 3 years, it has always agreed with both our Yorkies. Now we discover we cannot buy it anywhere, even with the vet doctors prescription. As I have read on a forum, it seems this is not a good dry dog food! Some of the ingredients listed seems horrid, knowing that we have fed this to our babies!

2013年7月1日 · She is most definitely not a fat dog but the fat and fiber fit what I was looking for and she likes it. Right now this is working great so I'm going to leave it alone for a while. She has to eat the w/d along with the Natural Balance food, if I give her just the NB dry she will have diarrhea every time.
