2011年4月29日 · Guys, I was able to pick up an Smittybuilt XRC 8k winch with free cover today at the Jeep and Truck Fest for the same $269.00 that the Harbor freight one was going to be. That was a simple solution and for the exact same price!!!! Since I was there I also picked up front and rear bumpers, sliders with side step as well.....

2010年2月15日 · I have a Harbor Freight winch on my lift. It has been abused and still works. A fairlead would come in handy :flipoff2: I have a 3K Harbor Freight winch on my car trailer, it has loaded countless dead trucks weighing FAR more than 3K pounds (a rolling load, I know) with no problems yet. This one gets ABUSED!

They did ask me to purchase the extended warranty for the second one, which I happily did for about $5 extra - which gave me a 2 year no questions asked replacement policy. That is pretty good in my book. As for performance, I hae found no issues so far.

It can be tough, however, as in the case of a welding helmet since it is human nature to 'play it safe and get the best'. The question is, are you (in terms of protection and performance). The main thing I was after was the grey 20 ton shop press and they had one in stock. Along with some 3in casters. I'm quickly running out of room in my shop and I was thinking of putting the casters on the press to move it around.
