2007年7月2日 · I went in the tint shop looking to get 50% on my front 2 side windows and my front windshield, and then 35% on my 2 back side windows and my rear window, and a limo tint on my sunroof. Everything else was fine except that when i saw the 35% in person it was WAY too light. Get 20% man, trust me.

2006年3月23日 · I got 35% all around. 20% seemed to dark to my taste and 50% seemed like a waste of money because it barely tinted the windows at all. 50% and lighter is just silly in my opinion. No one will notice and it will hardly change the tint at all.

2008年4月3日 · FWIW, I have been stopped TWICE for 50%. Our law here is 50% net, so a 50% film makes the windows meter 42%. I got stopped twice for my tint being two dark. Once by a MN state trooper and once by a sheriff in Iowa. So now I'm rocking a 66% film (34% heat rejection) and it's metering out at 56% on the windows.

2013年11月5日 · Actually, 50% or even 70% makes a large difference in appearance and heat reduction. A lot of people may think its not worth it, but in Canada BC any sort of tint in the front windows are illegal. I got ticketed for a 50% tint twice in 1 month in my previous car.

To simulate different degrees of tint, I selected opacity for the black windows at 85% to represent 15% tint, 65% opacity to represent 35% tint, 50% opacity to represent 50% tint, etc. This should be a good representation of the effect of tint.
