2021年3月26日 · Well, if everyone did TrueCar the right way, then yes, they would honor it. We have 1 dealer add on used cars, and it is disclosed on our truecar listings. But because we do not present an impossible number on TrueCar as we disclose an all-in price on there for both new and used (except TTL but that is completely set in stone, not our money),

When you use other sites, you will see the large dealerships first, those who pay the most money to be at the top of the page or “featured” For example, I am on the lowest auto trader plan with my dealership. Our cars don’t show up until you get to page 7 or 8.

The used car I bought was through a TrueCar lead. I don't think I even got that price when I got to the dealer thanks to the fees that weren't mentioned in the TrueCar price, so yeah, I don't think it's useful at all, to be honest. It might be a better fit for new cars but I've never bought new.

I used it at the height of the car crisis, thought about used. Did Costco for a CRV, bought the last one on the lot of the old model year. It was a decent hassle free deal. I didn’t feel like I could do that much better given the timing. Also got the 0.9% financing. Pretty satisfied, yes.

I only buy used cars from one owner private sellers that kept it in their garage and have actual maintenance records and sound somewhat intelligible. Run the VIN through vehicle history.com and the local DMV/BMV to make sure everything is registered, they are the only owner, it's a clean title and with my insurance the double check eligibility.
