2011年1月31日 · After Ceramic tint on another sunny day with same temperature outdoors it was only 131 degrees. In addition once the car is running it cools down faster and stays cooler at a lower AC setting. Aditionally you dont get the Sun baking you feeling through the windows when driving. Ceramic Tint is expensive but certainly the best way to go.
Is it worthwhile using a clear ceramic tint on the windshield?
2012年5月28日 · Go to a new tint shop. I had all ceramic tint installed on every window for $200. This included the lightest available ceramic tint on the windshield with two shades below legal ceramic on all the other windows. The tint on the windshield makes a huge difference in temperature in the cabin and I will do this on all future cars.

2021年9月10日 · If you live in a warm environment and are willing to take the extra care needed to look through tinted windows, I'd strongly recommend. Notes about ceramic tints creating a haze in direct or low sun angle are accurate. While I reeeallly dislike dirty or hazy windows, I find the haze acceptable, given the cooling benefit from ceramic tint.

2016年10月5日 · If it sits 8 hrs in sun on a 80+ degree day, it is going to be hot no matter what tint you install. Lastly, I care about how much of the bad stuff it keeps out. We are light skinned and burn easy. No issues with CTX. Llumar rocks! That said, there is a level above ceramic in another brand, but can't justify $600-$1000 tint job for a leased car.

2011年2月4日 · The car looks great and the ceramic tint does not radiate heat like metallic tint does. The seats still get warm when the sun shines down on them, but not like when there was no tint. FYI, I only paid about $50 more for ceramic tint and that included having the windshield done in clear ceramic.

2011年4月13日 · Parked in direct sunlight I measured a 10 degree difference from before tint and after ceramic tint on my 2010 Prius. I did 30% all around (except windshield of course). The main thing with tint is that once the car is cooled down it heats much more slowly. So if you park in the sun for 4 hours its going to get hot, tint, louvre, or whatever.

They use elmers stick glue / adhesive for the black dots on the top half of the rear hatch glass. Seems to be working out quite well. $220 OTD for this one. I did not have the little window under the rear spoiler done. It matches pretty well now.
