coupling PEX underground? - DIY Home Improvement Forum
2010年10月3日 · I need to couple together some 3/4" pex underground, before coming up into my mechanical room. It's the main water supply line. I've never plumbed with PEX before and have no PEX tools. I assume the "sharkbite" fittings are not appropriate for underground use? Do I need to buy some special PEX tools to be able to properly deal with fittings?

2021年10月26日 · A repipe specialist company quoted me some $ amount I can't afford to repipe my house with a 1" copper line from the city to main (~30' run), then 3/4" PEX with 1/2" PEX to each fixture. I assumed he opted for a copper city line because PEX wasn't suitable for underground, but have since read otherwise.

2016年8月15日 · Yes just ran 1 1/2" between condos. No fittings under ground except for at the meter pit. We used Uponor propex. Would not use regular pex. There are three grades of Pex, pex a os best and is expansion style or crimp, pex b is crimp only.

Are PVC Compression Fittings Rated for Underground Use?
2024年11月1日 · I needed to tee into an existing 3/4" pvc water line and I'm using Pex to extend the water line for our barn yard. I'm considering changing this to a Pex tee fitting instead of the PVC compression fitting. What's the best way to connect the PVC to the Pex. Here's what I have so far, water is not on yet because I need to tighten the connections.

2022年2月8日 · Not with 3/4" trunk lines. You only want to use 1/2" PEX to turn up to your usage stations, such as a shower, sink, toilet. All this is post filter anyway. I'd make sure from the pump to the filter/water heater, etc. is 3/4" I"m running 3/4" PVC to the filter and beyond to the water heater. From there PEX.

2021年5月28日 · Residential water supply lines generally use 3/4” pipe (occasionally 1”). SupplyHouse carries PEX-B tubing in these sizes, as well as PEX-A rated AquaPEX and pre-insulated AquaPEX. Sleeving the buried PEX (in PVC, for example) shields the tubing and can make potential repairs easier. Embedding PEX in sand protects it from any rocks in the soil.

2008年8月2日 · 3/4" PEX and 3/4" pipe have the same capacity. Some PEX fittings are necked down to 1/2", theoretically limiting the flow. I can tell you that I have 3/4" PEX in my house and have never had any issues with low volume or pressure. PEX can be direct-buried. Size is determined by the fixtures in the house. Most homes are fine with 3/4".
