Sketchup and ARM Windows
2024年5月21日 · Having Sketchup native for ARM seems like a good move for the future. They made the move. Apple computers have been exclusively ARM based for years, and SketchUp is native on them. As for the machines being lighter, no such luck. My M3 MacBook Pro is bigger and heavier than the intel version it replaced. I suppose the battery life is higher though.

2024年8月27日 · You can’t use SketchUp Free for commercial stuff. For the kind of work you do, I think you would really want to use SketchUp for Desktop (Pro or Studio) and the UI is so different, it would make more sense to just go that route from the start. Nice work by the way.

2024年12月13日 · Create a proxy SketchUp model (a simple one with basic geometry) using that template and then insert that model into your LayOut template. Set up the viewports as needed on each page. Then instead of opening LayOut and using File>Insert, you open the template in LayOut and in Document Setup>References, relink the SketchUp reference to your project.

When I first installed SU I did it prior to having admin rights and installed as admin by right clicking the install file. however subsequent attempts have been made whilst having admin rights.
