A man has been charged with kidnapping and murder in the disappearance of Miranda Corsette, whose body was dumped in a trash bin, St. Petersburg police said.

St. Petersburg police detectives said the remains of 16-year-old Miranda Corsette were found in a dumpster after she was reported missing last month.

A 37-year-old woman was facing charges on Sunday accused of being involved in the murder of a 16-year-old Florida girl who was a mother.

A 16-year-old was kidnapped, killed and dismembered by a couple after meeting a man through social media, police said.

The 16-year-old girl was reported missing in February. Police are searching for her remains, and have arrested two people.

Steven Gress is accused of luring the 16-year-old girl to his Saint Petersburg home using a dating app, according to police.

Miranda Corsette, 16, of Gulfport, was killed after she met up with a man she connected with on a dating app, according to St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway.
