A brutal windstorm caused several fires to break out in the greater Los Angeles area on Jan. 7, with a big blaze in the Pacific Palisades forcing families to evacuate and putting Santa Monica on evacuation notice.

The devastating wildfires that continue to ravage the celebrity-filled enclave of Pacific Palisades and other areas have forced a production shutdown across Los Angeles, as well as the cancellation of a number of key award season events that were set to take place this week.

Hollywood actors and celebrities are among the thousands evacuated from their homes as wildfires in Southern California rage on. More than 1,000 homes and 3,000 acres have burned in the ongoing Los Angeles county fires,

The Palisades, Eaton and other fires have forced movie premieres to be canceled, tourist attractions to close and celebrities to join a caravan of mass evacuations.

The fires have now reportedly burned down the homes of Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, and John Goodman.
