About 39,000 John Deere ZTrak™ Zero Turn Mowers with Kawasaki Engines have been recalled because the voltage regulator inside the mower's engine can fail while in use or while the product is being stored.

A recall of about 39,000 John Deere ZTrak zero-turn mowers with Kawasaki engines is underway in the U.S. The voltage regulators in the engines can fail and lead to overheating.

Kawasaki Motors is recalling more than 40,000 John Deere ZTrak Zero Turn Mowers with Kawasaki engines due to fire and burn hazards, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Consumers should stop using the mowers immediately and contact a certified John Deere dealer for a free repair.
